Vole - a decentralized social network
- newlog 13y agoWhy this when Diaspora exists?
- danielmunro 13y agoI'm not sure what dependencies Diaspora has, but the dependencies for vole seem minimal
- notthemessiah 13y agoDiaspora is decentralized in the same way email is in that you still have a trusted third-party. Vole is peer-to-peer.
- PavlovsCat 13y agoBecause the more the merrier?
- contingencies 13y agoI always thought cats were solitary creatures.
- anthonyb 13y agoThey're also sarcastic.
- PavlovsCat 13y agoI wasn't though, I really think it's too early to worry about fragmentation or anything like that. Throw many approaches and microformats for exchange of data for all at the wall, see what sticks.. even if just to avoid local optima. Having "the one and only way to have a decentralized social network" kinda would defeat the purpose, no?
- joyeuse6701 13y agoLooks cool, maybe I'll contribute
- Jonovono 13y agoCool! Any plan to hook this into Tent or something similar (if that would make sense)?
