If you want to manage the situation, here's what I would say (or wish I would say) in your situation: "You seem to want me to spend a lot of effort showing my commitment to the job (LinkedIn/hours) but that sort of babysitting is exactly what I want to avoid by working at a startup. I've been here 6 weeks and honestly I feel like I'm still getting integrated into the team and familiar with the product. If you want to get the best out of me you'll have to trust that I'm capable of managing my time and energy to get my work done efficiently."
