You should give it a try and report back! I don't even know much about wines but it seems hard to imagine I'd confuse a white wine for a red one. But then again I saw an experiment with people tasting jello without any food coloring. People couldn't tell strawberry from lime from grape or anything else. Perhaps not a totally accurate comparison but I do think we see a certain color and our brain starts preparing our other senses for the experience.
