But you know what would be a better rule? Questions with over 50 upvotes cannot be closed as "irrelevant" unless they are moved to a different StackExchange site.
- nine_k 13y agoNo. The question might be a good text, but a poor question, and a bad flamebait. SO is not a general discussion site. Closed questions are not deleted, still appear in search results, and sometimes are helpful at that role.
