If there was ever a time to be self-congratulatory, it would be a 25 year anniversary. If what he says is true--the fundamental architecture of Mathematica has been fairly consistent over a 25 year period--that's an exceptional thing in the software world. It's rarified air, so I'm going to say he earned this one. :)
