Woah, you are assuming too much from my post. Where in my post did I say that the United States is a champion of democracy? Or perhaps a beacon of civil rights? If the context somehow suggested that's what I meant, then I apologise, that was not my intent. I merely wanted people not to make rash positive judgement about either Venezuela and Ecuador merely because they are supporting Snowden and Assange. And besides, I am not American.
