Wow, that was uncomfortable to read. I had forgotten about a time where this happened to me in a regular in-ground pool (I was very young.) I can confirm the description of the article: arms extended, cant speak, mouth going in and out of the water with my head tilted up etc. A friend noticed and got me to safety; my dad was confused and I felt very weird/blurry about how I had reacted.
