You're going to crawl under a car with power tools, unhook the battery, and potentially smash yourself/head/hand with an extremely large pack of batteries, then try and drag it out of under the car?
I feel like it'd be easier just to siphon someone's gas...
- ISL 13y agoPeople regularly steal catalytic converters with a sawzall; common targets are Toyota trucks/SUVs. With batteries for a Tesla, I bet there are more than a few people with screwdrivers and three portable car jacks that would be very happy to make >$5k/night. If the Tesla design becomes a commodity, theft may become a problem.
