Personally, I'd prefer to be able to use JS instead of Flash for everything in a RIA, including games. There's just the one thing, though. Sockets. I can't push to clients using JS, which sucks. Polling just feels wasteful to me. Oh, I know there's comet, but that just feels like an ugly hack compared to the real thing.
