A rational person is humble enough to recognize it. The criticisms made of PHP (especially in the Fractal rant), are not a bar for what is or is not "better". There's very little data to show inconsistent naming penalties versus prototypical inheritance penalties in development over an arbitrary amount of time, with or without tooling, etc. There's so many different ways to measure development, "better" is used as an inflammatory proxy for "how I feel".
