I use both TypeScript and Dart for different uses cases (Dart lacks IE8 support) and both are a joy to use compared to POJS (plain old JavaScript.)

- tomaszkubacki 13y agoWho on earth still care for IE8 ? I can't see any good reason not to use Dart instead of TypeScript, and there are plenty of reasons to use Dart: - VM in Chrome will give us speed - VM snapshoting - faster app startup - batteries included - basic framework + pub package manager all this with tree shaking (smaller aps) - server/client programming - decent tooling on all major OSes - optional types Promoting TypeScript will push us again into windows gettho to have a reasonable IDE.
