Ask HN: Does the US accept that foreign governments monitor US citizens?
Much has been made of Obama's statement that the content of phone calls and emails of US citizens may not be monitored by the NSA. The implication is that this does not apply to the phone calls of non-US citizens. Does anyone know what the US governments official position (if any) on the surveillance of its citizens by foreign governments is?
