You were lucky, most of them are really stupid. I once witnesses a woman deciding between $2,000 and $2,500 machine, and one of the differences was something about graphics. So she asks "is graphics important for Netflix" and the sales guy goes like "oh yeah". But yeah, it's also a problem of American consumers who have so much money they don't know what to do with them. :-/
