What's barbaric? Labor and materials cost money. Someone has to pay. LabCorp is not staffed with people trained to divulge and discuss your potentially serious diagnosis. All but the smallest independent medical clinics have phlebotomists on site. If you want faster medical service, move to a more dense/develeped town. Most of us live in cities, for reasons quite like this.
