- kevingibbon 13y agoThey got the interviewee to write this browser extension as part of the interview. Smart.
- ukd1 13y agoI really should do a blog post about it - a short version is that we; 1. Quick technical screen via phone which filters > 90% of devs :( 2. Phone interview for work history / explanation of what we do / etc 3. Lunch / coffee 4. Hack for a day / half-day with the team on something completely new
- FajitaNachos 13y agoAs someone who has started looking for jobs recently, that sounds like a great way to hire people. It gives you a chance to interact with the candidate and see how they work. As a shameless plug, I also wrote a Chrome extension for GitHub. It lets you commit changes from Chrome Dev Tools to GitHub. It unfortunately took me a lot longer than half a day. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hotfix/bfmckmhcljhakgkngnfjhmmffaabdafi?hl=en https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hotfix/bfmckmhcljh... - preya2k 13y agoSo for which company did the author of the extension apply? I guess it was a full day hack?
- FajitaNachos 13y agoYou can find it on their GitHub page. Looks like it might have been these guys https://www.rainforestqa.com/ https://www.rainforestqa.com/
