I didn't think this particular post was all that bad. He gave links to several products, described his experiences with them, and talked about something that we all deal with -- how to carry around our stuff. Nothing wrong with talking about that. (Several other HNers have posted about their wallet stuff here, so there's interest at least) I'd be wary of dismissing every Atwood post out of hand.
