s/Ruby/Rails/
Rails is a heavyweight framework. I'd be more interested in a comparison with a lightweight framework like Cuba. Ruby will still lose to Go, but the difference probably won't be 10x.
- adamnemecek 13y agoI know that these tests results are kind of bogus but there's been a series of web framework comparisons http://www.techempower.com/benchmarks/ http://www.techempower.com/benchmarks/ (there was also a lot of discussion about it on HN) and Sinatra seems to be faster than Rails but not by as much as I would have guessed.
- kbd 13y agoThat's consistent with Cuba's own benchmarks - http://files.soveran.com/cuba/#9 http://files.soveran.com/cuba/#9 - where Sinatra improves over Rails by a little but Cuba improves by a lot.
