Depending on the situation, this might be something to discuss with the new company. If they have asked you to wait to start until July, they may not have a problem with you starting a few weeks later.
- anon120 17y agoThat's what I was thinking, but I'm unsure on how to raise this. I am getting a modest signing bonus, so suspect this won't go down well.
- lacker 17y agoThey just asked you to wait two months. They can't really complain if you want to wait either zero months or four months. If you feel bad saying you are doing it just for the money, say there is a project at your current job that would take about four months, and you would feel bad starting it and not completing it.
