I don't see the trick. I see a list of things someone wrote so that they can write a follow up post saying essentially, "I called it!" All those things you want him to write about are for another article. The author isn't under any obligation to provide a complete analysis of this topic. And, it's pretty clear he agrees with Snowden so why not just leave it at that? It's just a blog with an opinion, not a scientific paper.
