It had animations and an "overview" screen that had times, temperatures, and forecasts. I also developed World Weather Watch for Mac OS X: http://www.andrewmunsell.com/work/world-weather-watch/ http://www.andrewmunsell.com/work/world-weather-watch/ (The animated weather concept was inspired by HTC's Sense UI, though as far as I can remember, the overview list was entirely my own concept and idea) So, the concept of animated weather, or even Apple's overview list of weather and times, goes back much farther than a couple of months.
