It would be 'funny cuz it's true' only if atheists were not responsible for the greatest amount of death in the 20th century (ie Communists of various shades in Russia & China).
- boomlinde 13y agoMen, as a group, are also responsible for the "greatest amount of death" in the 20th century. Just letting you know in case you ever decide to make a joke about men.
- omonra 13y agoRight, but the article jokes specifically about atheists. This century they sure are a peaceful bunch - but past record is pretty atrocious. On the other hand, one could make a case that communists were not 'true' atheists - they just replaced Jesus with Marx-Lenin-Mao, but ostensibly they espoused atheism.
