- tzs 13y agoIf you were trying to quote Ben Franklin, you botched it. He said "Those who would give up Essential Liberty, to purchase a little Temporary safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety", which is significantly different.
- tptacek 13y agoWe're not even sure he said it. He denied authorship of the compilation that the quote originally appeared in.
