Germany already exports a lot of data to the US. That includes banking data, flight plans and so forth. So that fear is mostly fake. Hopefully the current developments provide a small chance of revoking those laws but I highly doubt it. I agree on the cloud stuff though. Some companies even use it in advertising (your data stays here and is covered by our data protection laws)
