The excuse that "relationships suffer" when using a different communication method is ridiculous. Now more than ever as people use it to justify whatever they want. Face-to-face is better, my relationships suffer when I communicate via phone. Phone calls are better, my relationships suffer when I communicate via email. Email is better, my relationships suffer if I communicate via FB. Maybe the problem is you, not the communication method.
