Native French here, the original is beautifully written and the Google translation does not do justice to this (and sometimes even obscures the meaning). I would presume that people reading the original are more touched by what is said (be it true or fake) just because of the quality of the writing.
- nolok 13y agoWhile what you're saying might be true, you are missing the point OP made. He isn't saying the translated text is well written, he is saying google translate has really improved to the point of producing readable text. Of course you lose a lot of the original's quality, but at least you can understand what you read.
