Anonymous are hackers, just like us. They force us to recognize the limits of our wired world, and laugh when we fail.
At least their culture beats that of Twitter, amirite?
edit: But I digress, this issue has been bumped to the front page too much. Definitely.
- biohacker42 17y agoOK, maybe they're better then the twitter crowd, but I think > 0.001% of them are hackers.
- hack_edu 17y agoPerhaps technical aptitude is rare among /b/tards, but they still hack. It's a state of mind. Many of Kevin Mitnick's greatest hacks were through culture jamming and social engineering. A hack is a hack is a hack, as long as it works.
- Steve0 17y agoI think < 0.001% are hackers.
- biohacker42 17y agoThank you for debugging my comment. I've done embarrassed myself on the internets. But I will not correct it while I can, because sir your sharp eye deserves recognition.
- ramchip 17y agoIt's certainly rare among /b/tards. On most of 4chan, /b/ is considered a bit like a cesspit of potty humor and dumb discussion. You'll find a lot more hackers (certainly more than 0.001%) on /jp/ (which has many game translators, ressource hackers and even visual novel programmers) and the textboard /prog/, among others. And I'm talking about hackers in the HN meaning of the word, not activists or website defacers.
- swombat 17y agoamirite? no.
