Rob Walling writes about this in Start Small, Stay Small ( http://www.startupbook.net/ http://www.startupbook.net/ ), and I think he mentions a range of 5x - 36x monthly revenue. It's dependent a lot on how automated and easy to maintain the site is, and how high the quality of traffic and revenue is.
- stevemart 13y agoI've researched this as well, and followed a fair number of auctions on Flippa, and although as Rob says, the range is very broad, multiples follow a bell curve, with most in the 12x-18x monthly net revenue range.
