Ask HN: building on google base api

What are the cons of building your webapp completely on google base. There's no hosting costs and your application is completely scalable and reduced to one web page, which you can host on blogspot for free for example. ie. completely serverless/costless with unlimited scaling. And furthermore, using google spreadsheet api's when user data needs to be private (each users data stored in their own account).
