I wrote my own replacement, which is open source here: https://github.com/sirsean/quickfeed https://github.com/sirsean/quickfeed I host it for myself, and it works quite well; no mobile app or mobile-optimized site at the moment, but for the desktop it'll do. I didn't like any of the existing post-Reader options.
