This is just utterly inspiring and something I've always dreamed about happening to me. Too often, people are proud of themselves after figuring out something that took a few days or even a few weeks to come up with. To stumble upon a solution when you had all but given up hope after three YEARS is just astounding and must amazing.
Congratulations to this mathematician. Inspiring. Truly inspiring.
