I have some workspaces that are tabbed (that's typically the case where I'm using a browser), some that are tiled, and some that use both -- usually involving a tab group in one tile and one or more other tiles on the same workspace. I guess the ability to mix tabs with tiles (in whatever arrangements I want) is what keeps me using i3 instead of others. I'd love to get dwm's tags with i3's tabs and tile management.
