For the performance issue, either update to the latest version of Eclipse or downgrade to 3.8: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/eclipse3x.html http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/eclipse3x.html Juno has been plagued with performance problems and so I downgraded to 3.8 and it's back to normal. (I.E. no atrocious delay in switching from Java to XML editors)
