Poll: Mac or PC
Just curious... what are you on?
- jaxn 18y agoI ran linux (mostly slackware) on my laptops from 2001 until 2005 or so. Then I bought a Mac with the expectation to install linux on it. I decided to see what OS X was like for a few days and never got around to install linux (now on my 3rd Mac laptop). The thing is, I have been thinking of switching back recently, but I really like being able to run Photoshop and Office natively. Edit: one more thing, "netbook only" would be an interesting option.
- cperciva 18y agoFreeBSD.
- noodle 18y agoone of each
- hs 18y agonintendo wii ... oh wait!
- mooism2 18y agoUbuntu, once on a Mac and once on a PC.
- mcav 18y agoPC should probably be split into Windows and Free OSes, at a minimum. In popular culture it's okay for PCs to refer to windows, but here we'll just get a mix of linux/bsd/windows in that category. Unless you consider "other" to be non-Windows.
- tvon 18y agoRan Linux as my exclusive desktop for ~4 years, then switched to OSX ~2 years ago.
- aneesh 18y agoPC, with Windows & Linux dual-boot.
- stonemetal 18y agoPPC mac and Linux at home. Winders at work.
- brianto2010 18y agoXP and Slackware. I mostly use XP, though.
- mahmud 18y agoAt some point I ran 8 operating systems on 6 different processor architectures. Had to throw it all out, now I'm on XP and Slackware, on two different thinkpads (no desktop in my kingdom)
- Jem 18y agoDidn't we have this poll just last week too? I'm certainly feeling a bit 'deja vu' :)
