Why tell Mt Gox what they are doing wrong when you can fine them instead? Seems like the American way.
- qdog 13y agoCurrency trading laws and regulations seem to pretty clearly state what they were doing wrong. This seems to be a shortcoming of MTGOX itself, not a direct attack on bitcoin. MTGOX's claims of compliance in the US seem to be hogwash at this point.
- thedeepself 13y agoSort of. But why was the bank (1) ASKING about the line of business instead of determining it (2) revealing client bank records to the government?
- mindcrime 13y agoWhy tell Mt Gox what they are doing wrong when you can fine them instead? Seems like the American way. Just because the Government say it's "wrong" doesn't mean it actually is.
- claudius 13y agoWhy not remind this guy that it is against the law to kill people when you can put him into prison instead? Ignorance of the law is no excuse, and it is doubtable that this is even a case of ignorance.
