  Definitely source maps. They should basically let stuff compiled to JS be as easy to debug as stuff compiled to x86. But JavaScript actually has some advantages for debugging.   Source maps are a partial solution. We also need a way to translate the data (fields and data structures) back to its source representation.

      Nope. It's just about mapping JavaScript code back to source files. We'll need to come up with another standard for data.
