It's as simple as this:
Does it stimulate intellectual interest? If not, don't upvote.
Does it discourage intellectual discussion? If so, then downvote.
Note: One-liners often end what was otherwise an intellectually interesting thread.
- boundlessdreamz 18y agoGot that, but the point is should you add a comment of your own every time you downvoted/upvoted if it does not add to the conversation. It just feels like a way to make your presence felt
- sgrove 18y agoThat's a good point, sorry I missed it. Whenever downvoting, be sure to explain your reasoning thoughtfully, again avoiding snarky one-liners.
