GopherCon 2014
- lifeguard 13y agoAnyone else think this was a retro conference for the gopher protocol? No? OK. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gopher_(protocol) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gopher_(protocol)
- mindcrime 13y agoIs it wrong that I was hoping this was a con focused on Gopher[1]? [1]: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gopher_%28protocol%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gopher_%28protocol%29
- aaronbrethorst 13y agoAs a U of MN alum, I am horribly disappointed that this is about Go.
- protomyth 13y agoAs a U of ND alum, I quite happy this is about Go. :)
- gojomo 13y agoPerhaps, at least, someone in attendance will present a Gopher server/client written in Go?
- limmeau 13y agoI thought that too. Was curious about the people who fled the Eternal September the Web has become, returning to the good old Gopher without popup ads and CSS drop-shadows.
- pholbrook 13y agoThere were in fact at least two GopherCons ('92 and '93) focused on the Gopher protocol. I worked at the time for CICNet, and we hosted one of the conferences in Ann Arbor.
