- rapsourly 13y agoHave you come across any DoJ justification? As Pruitt notes, "[t]hese records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities." That's a pretty good way to inhibit future "newsgathering operations," turning potential future sources into fearful non-sources.
