One of the interesting things here was this graph (when you change it to $ per state); http://manyeyes.alphaworks.ibm.com/wikified/acquired_startups/GroupedByUSAState:USStateMap http://manyeyes.alphaworks.ibm.com/wikified/acquired_startup... Texas brought in almost as much money as CA in acquisitions in this snapshot of data.
