For an Indian, this is a great deal since they get their citizenship sponsored, and the company gets skilled workers for lower pay than they'd have to offer a citizen. Based on my experience with Amazon, AT&T and other tech companies, there's a huge market for Indians in software in the US, I'd imagine it's easier for an Indian to get a job in the field than even an American.
