When Maven Dependencies Lie
- kirinan 13y agoI hope we dont start this Java hate circlejerk again. While Maven has its downfalls (So does everything else), Its WAY Better than what existed before. Needing a folder in source control just for your jars so ANT could compile your files, and hope it never gets out of sync because then people can't but it was ludicrous. Is Maven perfect? No. Is it better than the above method? Hell yes. Nothing is perfect, but we can gradually improve a problem (Dependency Management Hell), and iterate on it until it is good enough. Right now, people use Maven because its just that: good enough.
