I remember someone experienced saying somewhere: "Take your estimate, and multiply it with 8" So, if you estimate two weeks, multiply that with 8, the estimate becomes two months. I've actually used this estimate many times, in big and small projects, and it seems to work. At least better than myself underestimating the amount of work and just trying to impress the producer of the project. Also, some people just want to believe it can be done in those two weeks. Hahaha!
