Love this.. however it seems to refer to technologies / products that have matured over time.
For example, if wearable computers are further introduced into the market and adopted, these new products will initially be judged by their "specs" as the technology develops. Then as these specs become commonplace, usability & branding becomes one of the only ways to differentiate one's product.
- ironchief 13y agoAgreed. Most things tend to happen in cycles and wearable computing will most likely go through one as well. What is unique about wearable computing is that its the first time computers are directly touching our bodies every hour of the day. Thus the same qualities that you look for in say, a shoe, will also pertain to the objects in which computers are embedded.
