Already so many comment mine will be buried deep. Anyway: I am happy to see that in fact pg has no China-blindspot. I feared pg and others (eg Fred Wilson) were never talking about China because they droped half of the world out of their sight, as so many people sadly do. In fact it seem to not be the case. It was more of a strong reticence against saying stupid things, and a righteous understanding that not saying stupid things about China is very hard. But still, the nearby horizon is inevitably a confrontation between US and China, and we need clever and trusted people to state their best bets about how to handle this issue, which, left alone, can rot in the wrong hands and have a bad ending for everyone.
