Your comments reminded me of a salon.com article I read a few years back on tech support and a guy classifying tech support coping personalities. Hope your experience was better. A quick search found it:

- wallflower 18y agoI guess I was in the minor leagues when it came to tech support (no call center - just me in the backroom), but, yes, I think tech support is almost like tele-marketing (you're trying to sell the customer that you adequately provided service).
