  What happened? On an old HDD some where and lost the key to them? Sounds like there is need for a "Swiss bank account" to hold your bitcoin keys.

        No you don't understand this is different - do a kickstarter promted by a viral video and we will get at least 10% of the market, and then Google and Facebook will fight to acquihire us! Who wants to be my technical co-founder?

    Some bitcoin wallet clients, like Electrum, can recover your wallet from a seed that you can write down or email to yourself. Electrum: http://electrum.org/ http://electrum.org/

      Deterministic keypair generation isn't such a bad idea, but to email yourself the seed to your BTC keys and all transaction history? That sounds like an awfully bad idea...
