Something that's been discussed in a few mailing lists/blog entries I've seen lately are women who are really put-off by the phrase "guys" to refer to a mass of people. For me, the word is synonymous with "all" rather than "male" specifically, and I don't consider it to be offensive in the least. Now I'm all paranoid about all the times I've - as a female myself - walked up to a group of girls saying, "Hey guys!" I'd be interested in others' thoughts on this.
