From your profile, you're working at night attempting to become ramen profitable, which would mean that yes, you need to work your ass off. But not everyone is in your situation, so please quit the "this is retarded" sentiment. It's childish. For example, I'm part of a 6-person team at a startup in SF and I do not work 80 hours per week. I get to work at 9 and I leave at 6. And we're doing just fine.
