This technology looks very intriguing to me but I'm confused about potential applications for it. That is, what's it good for?

  If I read it correctly, essentially, tiny circuit boards full of components that can be printed. It seems like it would make the manufacture of electrical devices easier, and perhaps even more accessible to hobbyists, if the production machines and "chiplets" are affordable.
