  If he disables his JS he very much is one, at least browsing-wise. Not to mention that the whole entry screams "freak" in lots of places. I mean, how is this at all typical of the average programmer: "Gibson is an advocate of assembly language programming, and prides himself on writing smaller applications mostly in Intel x86 assembly language"
